MICHAEL KING
I'm Michael A. King, owner and operator of Salon Ambiance. I graduated from San Jacinto College in 1990. I am a master colorist and razor-cut artist and have been styling hair for 24 years.
Some people tell me I don't LOOK like a master colorist. My first job out of high school was at a body shop. I'd always loved to paint on canvas and repairing cars helped me understand color. Later, I worked in the construction business, where I learned to read blueprints and visualize a completed project in my head. Today, I do the same thing in the salon business, imagining how a client will look her or his best.
I'm certified as a Master Colorist by Tressa, a German color company in business since 1969. I'm also certified by Framesi, an Italian color line based in Milan, who produces several excellent colorlines. I use Fram Color 2001, a beautiful permanent colorline and Eclectic, a demi-permanent color that uses encapsulating technology. These products deliver excellent shine that will not lift the base color.

BONNIE SCHEIER
Hi, I'm Bonnie. I am married and a mother of a 5 year old boy. My hobbies are hunting, fishing and golf! I love the outdoors and enjoy spending my vacation time with my family at the farm in East Texas.
After 24 years of hair styling, I still have a great passion for “the art.” Art was my first love. I graduated from the Art Institute of Houston with a Visual Communications degree in 1992. During college, I worked as a stylist to get by. I took cosmetology in high school as a backup plan. I soon learned hair became my canvas of choice. My Art studies have been very useful in understanding hair coloring techniques such as blending pigments. Hair color has an amazing way of illuminating and giving depth to the perfect haircut. I also have an eye for colors that pair best with skin tone. And, instead of “cutting,” I like to think of what I do as sculpting hair. I visualize what shape of the hair will best accentuate specific features of a person's face.

As co-owner of Salon Ambience, I hope to bring to my clients, our stylist, and the entire Clear Lake community the best of what I have learned: from others, from my education, and from my travels throughout the world. I believe the success of our salon lies in the enjoyable experience of our clients, which, we hope prompts them—and you—to visit us time and time again.
ANDREA' DUNCAN
My name is Andrea' Duncan. I grew up in Orange, Texas. I moved to the Clear Lake area of Houston when I was 20 to attend cosmetology school. I LOVE the area therefore I have stayed here and made this my home. My uncle is a stylist and cut my whole family's hair when we were kids. I knew by the time I was 12 that I wanted to be a stylist. By 15, I was cutting hair for all my sisters, my dad, and even some of my neighbors.
I enjoy doing hair and love making people feel good about themselves and the way they look. When your hair looks great it always makes you feel confident and satisfied. Each of my clients appreciates the way I style, cut and color their hair, looking to capture and enhance their personality, face shape, and age. I enjoy going to classes and hair shows to refresh my skills to wow my clients. There are always new techniques, styles, colors, and haircuts to learn.
I truly enjoy keeping my life simple and free of negativity. We all have enough stress so I like to spend my time being positive and happy and I always try to be a good example for everyone around me. It's very important to me that my clients are happy with their appearance when they leave the salon. I want my clients to know I've put forth my best efforts to make them happy and I want them to keep smiling every time they look in the mirror.

LISA BIRCH ZULUAGA
I was motivated to be a stylist because my maternal grandmother was a stylist, and we were very close. From a very young age I have been excited about hair styling. I received my training in high school. I have been doing hair since 1985. The best thing about what I do is being creative and making my client love their hair.
To make a client feel special, you have to listen. I like to think of my time with a client as collaboration. Our goal.is to make them look and feel their best. After I'm done and they look into the mirror, I want them to see something that flatters their face.
I enjoy working with both men and women and love to create a great finished look, whether it's flat-ironed, straight, or beachy curls for the ladies, or just a great haircut for the guys.

I LOVE to style special-occasion up-dos and styles, bridal and party styles. I also take a lot of pride in coloring hair. Women can be demanding, which is why I'm proud to say that all of my clients seem to be very satisfied with the work I do! After all, there are too many other salons for me to do less than my best.
On my time off I like to spend time with my husband and kids. I have two boys, 29 and 26 and a step daughter who is 12. My all-time favorite move is “Steel Magnolia.” Go figure! LOL!

NATHAN ATWELL
Born and raised in the industry by a father that has earned a reputation as one of the best barbers in town. I've owned and operated salons over the years, putting my full effort to satsify clients for over 20 years. I will always put passion into what I love and know. I'm also a father of a handsome son that will hopefully keep the Atwell legacy going for years to come.
My hobbies include yachting, fishing with good friends, and family.
Specialty techniques include razor cuts, color, dimensional colors and highlights.

LONNIE COLE
Surrounded by incredible talent, I know I have some big
shoes to fill!

Growing up I was a larger than usual child. Apparently destined for the football field, I had more fabulous aspirations.
My mother was a master stylist for 30 years, owned and operated her own solo salon, and taught me all she knew before retiring completely in 2007.
Being interested in beauty from a young age and from growing up in the salon environment, I quickly learned the basic do's and do nots of the trade. Having fun being the most important thing, I thoroughly enjoy every process, taking my time, knowing that the 'dance' of cosmetic artistry is therapeutic for both my guest and I. With an eye for style and attention to detail, my favourite part is YOU!
My ultimate goal is to aid in the uplifting of your spirit by way of hair and warpaint, by helping you be the best you can be! The (hopefully) smile on your face is my most coveted reward.
